Happy Birthday / Bonne Fête

Two colleagues of mine celebrated their birthdays this week. I could not resist making two special cards for them. I decided to make them at the very last minute and everything fell into place quite nicely. I love them and so did they.

I sure have been busy...

I never thought March and April would be so busy. Even though I only made two cards for St. Patrick's Day, I had eight cards to make for our Easter and birthday celebrations.

My son Matthew and my aunt Grace celebrated their birthdays this past Saturday. Happy Birthday once again to the both of them. Matthew (my baby) turned 17 (WHOA!) and Grace, well, I think she would prefer I did not mention her age

The family gathered once again at Nanny's. This was a special day as we had not seen my aunt Grace and uncle Karol in a few years. Nanny is 96 years young and will definitely outlast the Energizer Bunny! Thanks to aunt Dorothy for an excellent roast beef and yorkshire pudding dinner. Mmmm Mmmm!!

Happy Easter, Birthday and Spring to everyone! Keep scrolling - here are the pictures of my cards.

For Matthew - This one I CASED from the Stampin' Up! catalogue. My creative juices had run dry after seven cards.

For Grace - This card was made using the new Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die for the Sizzix Big Shot.

All the cards were made using Stampin' Up! products (except for the button on Matthew's birthday card and the flower on the last bunny card). Please contact me if you would like a detailed list of products.

Catch-Up Part 2

Just 4 days before Christmas, my darling husband celebrated his 50th birthday.

Some good friends of ours gathered at our home for a surprise party.

I was sure he suspected we had planned a party for him. But everything went off with a bang!

Bonne Fete mon amour!!!

Catch-Up

It has been a while since I last posted. I thought I would play catch-up and post some cards I made since my Grandmother's birthday. Since my last posting, my oldest son Patrick turned 20 on November 26th. WOW! I can remember cradling him in my arms - it seems like yesterday. He graduated from CEGEP (college) in December '08 and will be applying for a Professional Cooking program starting in September. I couldn't wait to receive my Stampin Up Voila stamp set to make this special card for him. Happy Birthday Pat!

Happy Birthday Nanny and Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I have many things to be thankful for in my life - my wonderful husband, my great boys (more like young men now), my family and friends. Most importantly, I am also thankful for being able to celebrate with my Nanny on her 96th birthday today. She is an extraordinary Great-Grandmother.

Happy Birthday Nanny - we love you lots!

We always gather at Nanny's for special occasions, as it is the place we call home. We arrive for our visit and smell the turkey cooking in the oven. I have made Walnut Torte for her birthday and my aunt has made Pumkin Pie. What's Thanksgiving without Pumpkin Pie and a birthday without cake? Thank you once again!

We catch up on our news and then sit down for dinner. Turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings. Can't wait for dessert. Here comes the Walnut Torte. Oh, here comes the Pumpkin Pie with whipped cream. Our tummies have said - enough, enough!!!

Now it's time for the presents. Presents galore!!! It's not everyday you can celebrate your 96th birthday. Here is a pic of the birthday card I made for her.
"Thank you." she says.
Thank you Nanny, for everything! I Love you!!! xoxoxoxo
